The temperature climbed into the high 50s. The sun could not be denied. Big Dog and I walked and sniffed and reveled. So many neighbors emerged from their homes, smiling, sweeping, readying themselves to ready yards. A lot of waves, not many words. It felt like we all held back from bursting into song or giggles or dance. We were recharging, didn’t want to use more energy than necessary. As we all know, the grey skies will return. We need to keep some sunshine inside.
